It was only a matter time before Marijn got lucky and everyone else would be wrong in their predictions and he'd sneak out a victory. Ellmanov tied him with only one correct answer so it came down to the tiebreaker bonus question... which Marijn won by virtue of having the lowest yardage total. Vernon Davis had 0 yards, go figure. Well, with a new week comes a new game and with a new game comes new fan predictions. At this point everyone and their grandmother is tied for first place so the $50 gift card to the Saints store is still wide open and up for grabs.
Here's how it works: answer the four questions below plus the bonus tiebreaker questions in the comment section. The weekly winner gets his picture pimped in a blog post, and at the end of the season the person with the most weekly wins gets the $50 gift card. Good luck picking this week for the Falcons game!
1. Which player on defense (no special teams or offense) will record the Saints' first tackle?
2. After giving up 5 sacks last week, how many sacks does the Saints' offensive line give up this week?
3. Which Saint has the team's longest reception in this game?
4. Whis Saint has the team's longest run in this game?
BONUS: How many yards does that big mouth Roddy White end up with?
So... F**K! We still have a very slim chance to make the playoffs. But the worst thing is the Falcons can now say they broke Drew Brees his streak and put up 5 INTs on Brees, something nobody has ever done. Brees has this on himself. He reminds me of Romo at the moment. 3.64 fantasy points says enough.
Well.. on to see who is the Guru.
The correct answers were:
1: Malcolm Jenkins on Tony Gonzales which looked like an easy pass breakup too me at first sight. 1 Correct answer by ElImanov.
2: 1 Sack. Was to blame on Strief. 1 Correct answer by me.
3: Joe Morgan early in the game for 38 yards. Lance moore came close with 32 yards. 1 Correct answer. Also by me.
4: Pierre Thomas. He had 14 carries for 84 yards, longest was 13. 2nd was Ivory with a longest run of 6 yards. NO Correct answers.
Bonus (Not that it matters): 20 yards. His 1 and only reception. Closest was Allison who was off only by 60 yards.
So the winner is... ME. Second time in a row. I hate to be the winner when the Saints loose. I rather turn in my victory and have the saints win 1 of those 2 games. Especially this one. Or just 1 TD for Brees.
Standings. Everyones grandmother is at 2nd place with 1 Weekly guru title. I am 1st with 2 titles at the moment.
Now, nearly 6 am I will sit and wait for people to arrive in 2 hours and replace my boiler. Yeah. Would have been so nicer with a W...
Haha I love it how you blame all of you for my victory haha! If you doubled the yards I was apart form Davis I would still be closest by a mile! (1500 yards that is right?) Anyway, here goes for me to beat y'all and prove I am on a winning streak!
1: Courtney Roby (Special teams or on a pick thrown by Brees)
2: 1 Sack, but I will be wrong if Strief is not back.
3: Joe Morgan
4: Chris Ivory, clearly a no-brainer.
B: 101 .. sadly... Though I hope he gets shoved in the dirt and end up with an ACL torn on the first play... (oops did I say that out loud?) PS I will settle for a MCL.
@MarijnPessers I specifically said no offense or special teams, so you have to pick a defensive player for #1. Try again!
@MarijnPessers And shame on you! It's classless to wish someone an injury.. I got White on one of my fantasy teams, can't afford loosing him in the playoffs :P
@MarijnPessers Roby is stated out for that game..
@AllisonSmith Devery is seriously due
@Eliza18s Darren Sproles might have more yards then anybody else but he did not run a single ball last week. So I think he will not get too much touches.
@ElImanov And you call yourself a Saints fan? How dare you profit from the devil. You have sold your soul my friend. Andrew put this guy on -10 guru victories. We can't have this guy win!;-)
@ElImanov Thanks for the heads up. Put me down for Harper then. (PS, this is me, cant log in with my facebook account here)
